  • Project Lead on the development of a statewide Traffic Dataset and Querying Tool, enabling external users to access updated traffic volumes at any location across California
  • Statewide road network dataset for Vehicle Miles Traveled in California, with bespoke interpolation methodology in Python
  • Internal and external data visualisations and dashboards using R Shiny, including the Lithium Valley Data Explorer and a Community Air Quality Monitoring Data Explorer
  • Household-level network Origin-Destination analysis for healthcare accessibility modelling
  • Dataset curation, creation, and spatial analysis for public health and environmental justice

Lecturer in Social & Geographic Data Science | UCL | 2020–2021

  • Developed and led three modules: Spatial Analysis, Geocomputation, and Data, Politics and Society
  • Taught GIS programming using R, Python, and QGIS across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
  • Created over 20 original R-based programming tutorials and high-quality lecture and practical material
  • Teaching focused on the ethics and politics of (geo-) data science, including the use of large-scale individual-level datasets

Teaching Fellow | UCL | 2020

  • Supported delivery of quantitative and geospatial analysis courses across the Geography department

PhD Researcher | University of Southampton | 2015–2020

  • Doctoral research with the WorldPop group and Flowminder Foundation on creating geospatial datasets from Call Detail Records for humanitarian applications
  • Developed novel methodologies to map geographical communities using CDRs and created an index of social connectivity for disaster resilience estimation
  • Thesis: Social Connectivity and Disaster Resilience: An opportunity for improved mapping and measurement using call detail records
  • Supervised by Professor Andrew Tatem and Dr Eloise Biggs
  • Presented at NetMob (Oxford) and Geo4Dev (UC Berkeley)
